Give a Gift

Give a Gift Program

Jasper Public Schools Foundation

Give a Gift, sponsored by the Jasper Public Schools Foundation, is a program that connects classroom needs and projects with those who want to support students and teachers involved in public education.  Individuals, businesses or corporations can select a specific project to support, or they can donate to the foundation for Give a Gift.  Jasper ISD employees support the Give a Gift program by participating in the payroll deduction plan. In every case, 100% of their tax-free contribution supports a project.  There are no administration fees.

How It Works

Give a Gift begins with a teacher who wants to provide his or her students with an activity the school budget cannot cover because of lack of funds.  The teacher completes a simple application that describes the activity and lists the materials necessary. After obtaining the principal’s approval, the application is submitted to the foundation.

The teacher applications for the current school year are posted by campus, subject, and amount.  One stipulation to the teacher is the money must be used this school year.  If you see a proposal that you would like to fully or partially fund, contact Jamie White at jwhite@jasperisd.net or send a check directly to Jasper Public Schools Foundation, Give a Gift, PO Box 2243, Jasper, TX 75951.  If the donation is for a specific project, specify the project title and teacher’s name.  When the donation is received, the JPS Foundation will send a letter of acknowledgement that also serves as documentation for tax purposes.  Names of persons and businesses that support Give a Gift and the JPS Foundation program will be listed on the JISD Foundation web page.  The teacher and the principal will be notified and authorization is given for expenditures.

100% of the funds contributed directly fund the project selected by the donor.

100% of the funds contributed are tax deductible.
